Searching the world for unique pieces, Joan incorporates a variety of materials into her earrings, charms bracelets, necklaces and bracelets -- sterling silver, gold fill, Swarovski crystal, freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones, vintage Victorian button pendants, antique watch chain, 24K & copper ox plate, raw brass, lampwork beads, Venetian hand-blown glass beads, fused glass pendants, antique glass and plastic beads, Indian and African metal beads. Her techniques include hand turning, hand wiring and hand knotting.
